ActiveX Problems with Flash

Quick Guide to using the SWFObject javascript to get around the new ActiveX update

Overall Configuration (only need to do once)

1. Download SWFObject from here.

2. Download this flash template here. (Note: Right-click on this and save it, do not attempt to view it.)

3. Install the flash template into your Flash Configuration directory. Example on windows: C:\Documents and Settings\{your username}\Local Settings\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash 8\en\Configuration\HTML Chances are you will have to show protected files in order to do this.

For each file:

4. Copy the swfobject.js over into the folder where the swf resides.

5. Choose File->Publish Settings. Click on the HTML Tab. In Template you should see a new template called FlashObject Embed. Select it.

6. Press publish. You're done!!!
